Please can someone explain the methodology of work when a roll Sheepsfoot is used to compact the layer of fill dirt? Thank you for answers. What I really wanted to know is that the way including its use differs from a smooth scroll wheel (SWR). For example we need a proper rating before using cables steel, we need the same with SFR? Then all the pace work this way or that increased? Etc … Please help me a little more and excuse me for not making clear earlier.

A roll Sheepsfoot is typically used for compacting fine-grained soils such as clays or divisions and compaction bedrock low. The sheepsfeet on the roller to knead the ground rather than trying to crush. Compaction involve the laying of thin layers of soil (say up to 250mm thick) at the correct moisture content (usually specified as the best + / -% A) and then driving the roller on the layer of a number of times until the required level of compaction is reached. This should normally be specified by the engineer. The level of compaction can be measured by the test as the alternative test sand. Alternatively, a specified number of passes of the roll can be completed. It depends on what the engineer wants to design.
