Caterpillar Reactions Reviews

What chemical mixture with water will give you an explosive reaction extreme?
I think it is sodium and potassium, but I really do not know since I am a diesel freak not a chemist … I deal with diesel fuel, Cummins and Caterpillar. Thats as far as I have chemistry. uh …. thanx I hope you can answer this …. As Richard did not look like a problem for you. Ok, so it would be easier to obtain Ahold and live with my nieghbor Where the hell do you get these chemicals? and be practical
Sodium and potassium are correct. They are extremely reactive with water, forming hydroxides and releasing hydrogen gas, which is usually triggered by heat from the exothermic reaction. 2 Na + 2 H2O -> 2 NaOH + H2 2K + 2H2O -> 2 KOH + H2

Going to be– a butterfly (Sunshine fact & fantasy) … |
Something worth pondering?
After caterpillars form their chrysalis during metamorphosis, it is a little known but very relevant fact that they dissolve completely in a soup of amino acids before reassembling into butterflies. This soup contains no cells recognizable or DNA as currently understood, but when the time comes, life torsional wave signals DNA to recombine and within days, cells emerge to create new life forms. Do you think this is worth further scientific study? Why or why not? Some new info … http://animals.howstuffworks.com/insects/caterpillar3.htm
I knew about this but he had heard the same thing as TR said. I think it is always absolutely amazing, a insect on Earth is bound to build a cocoon and let go completely of its form, turns to mush, then reconstructed and transformed into another flying insect. Not only that, but it is reconstructed from body fat little caterpillar … just a different way.
I think we can learn many things like that. Metamorphosis is an amazing act of nature … both literally and metaphorically speaking. * Edit * BTW, I think that scientists have learned much from the study of animals and things like that. This site gives some ideas on what could mean for us … because the caterpillar remembers being, after emerging like a butterfly or a moth: * While most research on learning and memory in insects has centered on social insects such as bees or ants, Weiss' lab is particularly interested in insects solitary, such as butterflies, praying mantids, and mud-dauber wasps. Weiss and his colleagues continue to study how these self-sufficient, insects Multitasking use learning and memory skills to adapt to their environment. This study was farther from the cell neural specification research that is ongoing in Casey's lab. Casey, associate professor of biology at Georgetown, focuses on identifying signals that are necessary to direct a cell to develop into a neuron and determining how the complex human central nervous system evolved Http://www.sciencecentric.com/news/article.php?q=08030543 .*
